Temperature transmitters

Temperature converters, or thermocouple transmitters, are used to amplify and convert the small millivolt signals generated by thermocouples and resistance thermometer (RTD) into standard output signals like 4-20 mA or 0-10 V. These converters ensure the signals and are less prone to electrical noise and can be transmitted over long distances. They also linearize the non-linear response of thermocouples, providing more accurate temperature readings. Additionally, they often include cold junction compensation to correct for temperature differences at the reference junction. By converting the signal to a standard format, temperature converters make it compatible with industrial control systems like PLCs. Some converters also provide electrical isolation for safety and signal integrity.

Head mounted - Standard

Head type temperature converters are electronic units designed by using microcontroller, inside plastic roller, capable of being installed inside thermocouple or resistance thermometer head. They convert the thermocouple and resistance thermometer values into a standard 4-20mA current signal in all areas of the industry.

Converter’s configuration can be easily set by the user as requested by using USB interface on PC without need for any supply by connecting to PC with the programme kit and connection cable by the aid of E-Y-KC-100-V2 software loaded to PC.

Head mounted - Isolated two wires

The E-KC-101 is a head mount type isolated two wire temperature transmitter. The transmitter converts the measured values to a 4 to 20 mA DC signal for transmission.

Thermocouples and resistance thermometers can be used as a temperature sensor. The transmitter also accepts resistance and DC mV as an input signal.

The transmitter is configurable via by PC using proprietary software.

Head mounted - Hart protocol

A head-mounted type two-wire temperature transducer conforming to the HART protocol. Converters converts the measured value to a 4-20mA current signal according to the configured scale. Thermocouple and resistance thermometer type temperature sensors can be connected to the input of the converter.

DC mV and resistor can also be connected to the converter input.

E-KC-200-H converter can be configured with the HART configurator or a special PC software available from Kamet.

Rail mounted

The devices are rail-mountable industrial devices in a plastic case designed to be used as signal converters. E-770 series converters convert RTD and thermocouple type temperature sensors, resistance and DC mV signals to standard 4 – 20 mA output signals. The input and output signals of the E-770 series devices are not galvanically isolated.

Rail mounted devices can be ordered as 2-wire or 4-wire types. In 2-wire types, the operating voltage and output signal are not galvanically isolated, in 4-wire types, the operating voltage and output signal are galvanically isolated.

These series converters can be configured with special PC software provided by us and optionally available HART communication interface.
