Kamet is pleased to share a unique new machine for the world of MI cable, a state-of-the-art cutting & straightening machine. This ‘C&S machine’ has been produced together with Antec Solutions in the Netherlands.

Within the market of MI sensors, there are just a few machines that could automate the production of sensors. These machines are often designed to automate one production step rather than multiple. Additionally, these tools are not fully automatic, as an operator has to operate the machines by hand.

The newly developed C&S machine is the first machine that combines multiple steps in the production of MI sensors. The machine has the ability to straighten and cut pieces of MI cable with extremely tight length tolerances. It is easy to operate through an LCD touch screen. After a correct setup, the machine automatically straightens and dry cuts MI cable into several shorter straight pieces.

The CS-1100 is equipped with advanced sensors and software, which allow it to accurately measure (within 1mm tolerance on lengths >100 meters) and burrfree cut the MI cables to the required length. This ensures that each cable is of the same length and quality. The machine can handle a wide range of cable sizes (OD between 1.0 mm and 8.0 mm), making it a versatile and valuable addition to any temperature sensor manufacturing facility.

The CS-1100 line consists of three main components – a spool holder, the machine itself, and a collector.

  • The spool holder is used to hold the MI cable spool in place, which allows the machine to smoothly pull the cable through during the cutting and straightening process.
  • The machine itself is the heart of the system, and is responsible for accurately cutting and straightening the MI cable to the desired length and shape. The machine uses advanced sensors and software to ensure precise measurements and consistency.
  • Finally, the collector is used to neatly collect and organize the straightened cables, making it easy to handle and transport them to the next stage of the production process.

Together, these three components create a comprehensive and efficient system for cutting and straightening MI cable, which helps to streamline the production process of industrial temperature sensors.
