Connection heads
Connection heads, also referred to as protection heads, are an essential component of thermocouple and RTD assemblies. They protect and house the terminal block or transmitter that connects the temperature sensor to the lead cable. In addition to providing mechanical protection, connection heads help stabilise the temperature around the connection points and provide access for installation, inspection and maintenance.

Our metal connection heads are available in materials including brass, cast iron, stainless steel and aluminium, with typical operating temperatures ranging from −40 to +150 °C. Many metal connection heads can also be supplied with an epoxy coating for additional corrosion resistance.
Kamet also offers a range of plastic connection heads with excellent corrosion resistance. The maximum operating temperature depends on the selected material and design.
Both metal and plastic connection heads are available with different levels of protection against water, dust and corrosion, making them suitable for a wide range of indoor and outdoor industrial environments.
