About Type S thermocouple
With a temperature range from 0°C to 1768°C (32°F to 3214°F), type S thermocouple are ideal for processes requiring precise temperature control, such as metallurgy. Their high accuracy and stability are especially beneficial at elevated temperatures, crucial kilns, glass manufacturing and semiconductor industries.
Additionally, they are preferred in scientific research for accurate temperature measurements. While they have a longer lifespan than other thermocouples, it’s important to note that they may experience drift over time, particularly at higher temperatures, which can impact their accuracy.

About AerOpak® MI cable
Our AerOpak® mineral insulated cable range is designed to withstand extremely harsh environments that would typically damage other thermocouple cables. Thanks to its robust construction and a wide selection of sheath materials, the AerOpak® cable is highly resistant to corrosion and operates effectively within the highest temperature limits of the chosen materials.
We also offer specialized non-destructive evaluations for both in-process and completed thermocouple cables. Our testing services include Temperature Calibration specific to thermocouples, X-ray Inspection, Dye Penetrant Inspection, Helium Leak Detection, Measurements for dimensional accuracy, and checks for Insulation Resistance. All ARi standards comply with and are traceable back to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
