Type T, Cu-CuNi thermocouple is a very stable thermocouple for cyrogenic applications in particular. In general, it has a small temperature range in comparison with other thermocouple junctions: -270°C .. +370°C. Type T, Cu-CuNi mineral insulated cables are well suited for cryogenic use due to its high stability.
Kamet supplies type T mineral insulated cable from Okazaki. AerOpak®cable is available in a range of diameters from 0.5mm to 8.0mm and conforms to IEC EN60584 class 1 & ASTM E230 special limits. It is supplied in accordance with IEC 61515 standards and comes with a 3.1 certificate as well as a calibration certificate. Additionally, all raw materials used in this cable are sourced from European or Japanese origins, ensuring high quality and reliability.
AerOpak®cable is delivered as a coil but can also be ordered in straight lengths, which may exhibit a bow or curvature. It is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing it to be bent around a mandrel with a radius equal to twice its sheath diameter without causing any rupture to the sheath or loss of insulation resistance.
Furthermore, the sheath can be welded, brazed, and soldered without altering the insulation resistance, as long as normal care is taken for the specific metals and thicknesses involved.
