Type T mineral insulated thermocouple cable

Type T, Cu-CuNi thermocouple is a very stable thermocouple for cyrogenic applications in particular. In general, it has a small temperature range in comparison with other thermocouple junctions: -270°C to +370°C. Type T, Cu-CuNi mineral insulated cables are well suited for cryogenic use due to its high stability.

About Type T thermocouple

The Type T thermocouple is renowned for its high accuracy and stability, especially in low and cryogenic temperature applications. It is commonly used in the food industry due to its performance in moist environments without oxidizing. Made of Cu-CuNi, it operates effectively in temperatures below 0°C up to a maximum of 350°C (ASTM E230: 370°C), and is suitable for use in oxidizing, reducing, or inert gas atmospheres. However, it requires protection from contamination to prevent embrittlement, making it a reliable yet delicate tool for precise temperature measurements.

Type T thermocouple is also available as bare thermocouple wire.
