Type E, NiCr-CuNi thermocouple is a high-accuracy thermocouple for a moderate temperature range. In general, it has a smaller temperature range compared to other thermocouple junctions: -270°C .. +900°C. Type E, NiCr-CuNi mineral insulated cables are well suited for cryogenic use due to the high output 68 µV/°C. Kamet stocks and distributes world known Okazaki’s AerOpak®mineral insulated cable.
The Okazaki’s AerOpak®cable offers a wide application range due to its small outer diameter, enabling temperature measurements of smaller targets. Its sheath-type structure ensures durability under high temperature and pressure conditions, allowing it to operate effectively in a temperature range of -200 to 1,260℃. In terms of responsiveness, the AerOpak®reduced outer diameter results in a lower heat capacity, which makes it sensitive and quick to respond to temperature changes. Additionally, its design features a minimum bend radius that is twice the size of the sheath outer diameter, facilitating easy and versatile installation in various locations at a site.
